Description of Responsive Body: Responsive Body is a practice-based learning community examining, exploring, and experiencing a biodynamic ecology of support for somatic and social wellness, creative process, and relationship building for the advancement of human systems for equity, excellence, and radical joy. Responsive Body directly addresses the harmful impacts of oppression, violence, and neglect as they are enacted as racism, male supremacy, ableism, and greed. As a community of care we build long-lasting relationships that add potency to our biological optimism and bodied resiliency. We explore a diverse range of somatic therapies, bodywork skills, embodiment philosophies, energy medicine, art-based therapies, trauma recovery, and critically examine history, politics, and culture. Responsive Body changes based on the needs and interests of individuals and the community. It is  an adaptive system of responding- meaning that no one session, workshop, or program  is the same. The content of each Responsive Body experience differs and is created in real-time through the realness of the lives we are really living.
